Mounds State Park

4306 Mounds Road

Anderson, Indiana

(765) 642-6627

The Mission of the Friends of Mounds State Park group is:
“to develop and support projects and events that enhance the natural and culture heritage of the park and to promote community awareness
.”

The Bronnenburg House project needs your help.

The Friends of Mounds State Park are working to restore and furnish the historic Bronnenburg house to reflect the 1890's.

We are looking for a wood burning stove, 1897 vintage or older for the home.  The stove could be donated to the Friends or it can be arranged to be loaned to the park.  The Friends of Mounds State Park is a 503(c)(3) non profit organization.

The charter members of the Friends of Mounds State Park were the Bronnenburg Family.  In the early 1800's, the Bronnenburg's settled here owning more than 600 acres.  They recognized the importance of the mounds and preserved them for future generations.

One could say that we trace our roots back over 150 years
.

The Friends group meets at the Visitor center on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.

All are welcome.
